FLORECER: Reproductive Justice operates four major programs. Some of these are research and policy focused, including community education, and others are direct service offerings for our local communities.

Our Rural Access Project aims to strengthen state-wide relationships while increasing abortion access and reproductive education to all Arizona counties, 87% of which live without a provider or clinic. Our work is centered and driven by community research, learning from the lived experiences of folks in these towns. This research will inform program needs and future legislative efforts for the state.

Abortion Fund of Arizona supports individuals through their abortion experience(s) by providing financial support for procedure expenses and practical support, which can look like hotel stays, meal support, gas assistance, coverage of childcare expenses, and any necessary vaccines needed for the procedure.

We launched the Follow-Up Program under the Abortion Fund to reconnect with callers in 2023. The callers we reach gave consent to engage in a conversation post-abortion to gather feedback about their clinic experience, their overall experience and journey in accessing abortion care, and their experience working with our fund. Through this program, we also connect individuals to opportunities of their interest: such as volunteering with the organization or going through storytelling training to empower individuals to share their abortion story publicly.

The Saguaro Relief Program launched in 2026. This is our latest community offering to support unhoused pregnant people in Arizona communities. Recognizing that a plethora of non-profits exist to help the unhoused, our work is focused on the unique challenges pregnant unhoused individuals face and the unique care and attention they need for their safety and well-being. As our work develops in this area, and with sustainable funding, we aim to offer support beyond pregnant people and be gender-inclusive as well as develop support for youth and minors who are unhoused.

Developing a new program from the ground up is a multi-step and multi-year effort. Our process will always remain community-centered, guided, and values aligned. To ensure these components, our organization develops new programs in a multi-step phase which can range in timelines, depending on the scope of work.
